Sorensen Commenced Works — Ringaskiddy Relief Road — October 2024

In October 2024, Sorensen Civil Engineering commenced the Ringaskiddy Relief Road—also known as the Protected Road Scheme—to improve local access around the harbour while main M28 works ramped up. The 1.5 km single-carriageway link and junction upgrades provide important interim connectivity between Barnahely and the eastern side of Ringaskiddy. Sorensen confirmed it had mobilised its site team and was “looking forward to introducing themselves to all the stakeholders,” with TII noting that works on the relief road were already underway to support port access.
